A game that my brother and I used to play all the time was Reverse Movies and I feel like you guys would eat it up, if you can write an au fanfic you basically already know the rules
It was barely even a game, it was just taking a movie that we were watching and “reversing” it.
Like okay a Reverse Pacific Rim is: what if the evil aliens developed robots instead of kaiju to attack the world, and then humanity responded by growing their Own monsters in labs. And then human pilots drifted with the beasts to fight the alien robots. So basically Pacific Rim but the robots are the bad guys and all the pilots are like Beast tamers that ride giant kaiju into battle. And those gay scientists like study the robots, and Hannibal Chau sells contraband robot tech instead of kaiju parts, all that. Oh and instead of Newt drifting with a kaiju brain, he hacks into a robot one!
A Reverse Lord of The Rings is what of instead of a fellowship of people trying to put a dangerous object Back, it is a team of people attempting to Take the ring. So basically, literally a heist movie where they’re trying to steal the ring from Mordor.
A Reverse Ghostbusters is what if they were a squad of wildlife catch and release rehabilitators but for Ghosts. Where they’re a spooky squad of people who care for ghosts that go around reintroducing ghosts into buildings that have no Spirits, because a place with no ghosts in it has no Soul and is super unlucky.
I dunno it’s a very fun game to play, the best movies that work are ones that have two “sides” like two teams of people cause it’s fun to swap them. Like reverse twilight, a family of humans trying to blend into a town of vampires etc.
Just saw a high school production of Addams Family and while sure, it was good and all, I’m almost positive the school chose it because they have a 6’9 kid to played Lurch.
Appreciate the excellence of a closed curtain, a hushed audience awaiting the pre-show, and then a giant walks onstage, shows you a cellphone, wags his finger, and then smashes it with a hammer.
Sauron: It is he whose name is not now spoken; for the Valar have deceived you concerning him, putting forward the name of Eru, a phantom devised in the folly of their hearts, seeking to enchain Men in servitude to themselves. For they are the oracle of this Eru, which speaks only what they will. But he that is their master shall yet prevail, and he will deliver you from this phantom; and his name is Melkor, Lord of All, Giver of Freedom, and he shall make you stronger than they.
There are roughly 8,000,000,000 grains of sand per cubic meter of beach, and roughly 700,000,000,000 cubic meters of beach on Earth. That’s 5 sextillion grains of sand. An incomprehensible number, and yet every sand grain is microscopically unique. Like a snowflake, no two are the same.
